Hello Everyone,
As Chairman of Tinahely Agricultural Show I would like to invite you to visit our Show at Fairwood Park on Monday August 6st 2018. Preparations are well underway for our 83rd Show.
People in the area have a proud tradition of coming together to organise Tinahely Show.
With the support of the business community & show exhibitors, the visitors enjoy the competion and experience of Tinahely Show, which is one of the biggest Agricultural Shows in Ireland.
This year our secretaries are Lorraine and Dolores. If you would like to become a volunteer helping with the running of Tinahely Show please contact the show office.

The committee are always looking for new entertainment to improve the show.
This year’s show has something for everyone.
Declan Nerney and his band will be playing at our dancing stage arena with Stuart Moyles, After Dark and Teresa and the Stars to keep you singing and dancing all afternoon!
A Tractor pulling competition will be staged for the first time this year.
The Connelly’s Red Mills Non-Thoroughbred Two-Year-Old Gelding All Ireland Horse Championship Final will be held this year.
Other events are –

  • The Derek Rothwell Memorial Young Stockperson of the Year Championship.
  • The All Ireland Hand Made Quilt Championship.
  • The World Record Sheaf Tossing Championship.
  • There are classes for Cattle, Horses, Ponies, Donkeys, Sheep, Pigs, Dogs, Poultry, Pets Corner, Carriage Driving, & Horse Show Jumping.
  • There are classes for Home Produce, Baking, Horticulture, Photography, Art, Craft, Junior hand writing and baking.
  • We have Trade Stands, Food from our Farms, Irish Handmade Crafts, Sheep Shearing and Wool Handling,
  • There are Dog Agility Demonstrations. Vintage cars, Tractors and Machinery and Motorbike Trial Skill Riding.
  • The Tougher Gun Club will display their wild birds.
  • There will be an Entertainment Platform. Baby Show, Children’s Talent Competition and a competition for the Best Dressed Lady or Gentleman.
  • A special event is the Crowning of the 2018 Tinahely Show Queen.
  • I would like to thank the Rothwell family, Mr. Antony D’Arcy, and Mr. Alfie Hill for the use of their lands.
    I would like to thank all our voluntary workers, sponsors, trade stands and class exhibitors for their continued support in making the Show a success each year.
