2021 Tinahely Agricultural Show cancelled due to CORONA-19 pandemic

The Tinahely Agricultural Society has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 crisis and the disruption it has caused for national and local events.  Following consultation with our own members and taking account of the recent recommendation by the Irish Shows Association, that affiliated shows should not proceed this year, we have regrettably taken the decision to cancel the 86th Tinahely Agricultural Show 2021.

This was a very difficult decision for us as we understand that this family day is one of the highlights in the calendar for so many people in the Wicklow and wider Leinster region.

This decision will be disappointing for our dedicated committee and community volunteers. For the many sponsors, trade stands, exhibitors, competitors and judges who have been so loyal to our show over the years we say thank you and look forward to having you all on board in 2022.

We have not taken this decision lightly but rather in the interests of public health and safety, we believe we have no other option but to cancel the show.

Our dedicated team will use the time to plan an even bigger and better event for 2022 and we look forward to celebrating a fantastic family day out in 2022 when this pandemic is hopefully a distant memory.

We understand this is a very difficult time for so many of the community and in particular small businesses and our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.  Please keep safe and continue to follow the HSE guidelines on social distancing.

Yours sincerely

Thomas McDonald

Chairman, Tinahely Agricultural Show
